WhiteWhale Alternative: Postelix vs WhiteWhale on Buying Signals

01
Overview

What this comparison covers

WhiteWhale (getwhitewhale.com) tells your reps which accounts changed this week and why, with a quote from the filing, job post or earnings call. Its FAQ says it does not provide contact data, email drafting or sequencing. Postelix covers that part. It names the person to talk to at each account, finds the colleague best placed to reach them and, where that colleague allows it, sends the first message from their account. It also catches the people there who react to your company on LinkedIn.

Both answer "why this account, now". They read different sources and stop at different points, so some teams will want both.

This comparison is written by Postelix. We are not affiliated with WhiteWhale. We read WhiteWhale's public pages on 13 and 14 October 2026. Features and prices change, so check theirs before you decide.

02
Vendor

What WhiteWhale provides

WhiteWhale describes itself as custom buying signals for outbound sales teams. You write up to 35 questions that match your sales motion, for example whether the CEO talks about AI on earnings calls. It checks them against news, job postings, public filings and company updates for every account you monitor, and each answer comes with its source and a quote.

Matching accounts arrive in Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Clay or Outreach, and there is an API. Its FAQ says contacts and sequencing are handled by other tools, such as Apollo and ZoomInfo for contacts and Outreach and Salesloft for sequencing, so plan on those for the next steps. See WhiteWhale's pricing page for the current plans.

03
Postelix

What Postelix provides

Postelix starts from the people. You tell it who you sell to, and it reads the people inside each target account to find who owns the problem, who else sits on the buying committee and who to leave out, with the reason.

Then it watches LinkedIn around your company: reactions and comments on your posts and your colleagues' posts, profile visits on connected accounts, visits to your company page and reactions to your competitors' posts. When someone in your market shows up, Postelix finds the colleague best placed to reach them. Where that colleague allows it, the first message goes out from their account, automatically or after approval.

If filings and earnings calls drive your timing, WhiteWhale goes deeper. Postelix reads company news, hiring and public filings to explain why now at an account, and puts most of its depth into the people.

In his first month with Postelix, Ronak Khunt, founder of SimpleURL.tech, saw 31% of cold connection requests accepted and replies from 30% of the people it contacted.

Fit

Which fits your team?

Choose WhiteWhale when your reps already know who they call at each account and need a reason to call this week. It suits outbound sales teams whose timing depends on filings and leadership hires, and it connects to Salesforce.

Choose Postelix when the open question is the person. Marketing teams use it to find who to talk to at each account and to catch the buyers who react on LinkedIn and never fill in a form.

The two can run side by side. WhiteWhale flags the account, and Postelix tells you who there to talk to and who on your team knows them.

06
Limits

Where each one stops

WhiteWhale gives you the account and the reason. Finding the contact and sending the message happen in your other tools.

Postelix is built around LinkedIn, and off LinkedIn it reads company news, hiring, filings and company-level website visits. It does not read Reddit, GitHub or review sites. It delivers to Slack and HubSpot today, so ask us first if your team works in Salesforce.

07
Cost

Compare scope and cost

WhiteWhale lists Starter at USD 200 a month for 300 accounts monitored weekly, and Growth at USD 500 a month for 750 accounts. Both include unlimited seats and all integrations, and you can see your signals for free before you pay. WhiteWhale is month-to-month, and its FAQ offers everything back if it does not drive measurable pipeline in 90 days. It prices by accounts monitored and Postelix by people kept current in your market, so multiply your account count by the people you would track in each.

Postelix Basic is EUR 490 a month for one market: 6,000 people kept current, up to 2,000 new people a month, every colleague's posts monitored and profile visits on 5 connected accounts. Team is EUR 1,190 a month for 3 markets and 18,000 people. Enterprise starts at EUR 3,900 a month. Prices exclude VAT. You start with a demo and 7 days on your own market, with a work email and no card.

Next step

Try both on the same ten accounts

Take ten accounts you care about. Ask WhiteWhale what changed at each one. Ask Postelix who to talk to there and which colleague knows them, then check who reacted to your company during the 7 days. You will see which answer your team was missing.

Questions

Partly. Both tell you why an account is worth contacting now. WhiteWhale reads filings, earnings calls, job posts and news for questions you write. Postelix starts from LinkedIn activity around your company. It names the person to contact and, where the colleague allows it, sends the first message from a colleague who knows them.

Yes. WhiteWhale monitors accounts and hands them to your reps. Postelix works on the people inside those accounts. There is no integration between the two products, so the account list is the shared piece.

No. WhiteWhale's FAQ says it is not a contact data provider and does not sell email addresses or phone numbers. It points to tools such as Apollo and ZoomInfo for contacts and to Outreach and Salesloft for sequencing.

WhiteWhale is built for outbound sales teams. Postelix is built for B2B marketing teams that hand warm people to sales.

A contact database gives you everyone with the right title. Postelix reads what each person posts and reacts to, so it can say who at the account owns the problem and who reacted to your company this week. You can keep both.

Not directly today. Postelix delivers to Slack and HubSpot, with CSV and API export. If your team works in Salesforce, talk to us before you start.

It reads the people inside each target account and decides who owns the problem, with the reason. The title is one input.

Book a demo. Then run it on your own market for 7 days.

The demo is with the founder and shows the loop in action. A work email is enough, no card.
